Insurance and Billing

When you schedule your procedure, our schedulers will request your insurance information. We do this to make your registration on the day of your procedure as stress-free as possible. Our staff at registration will simply ask you to verify all the information we have such as your address, contact information and insurance information. You will need to provide registration with a photo ID and your insurance card(s). We ask that all co-insurance and co-payments be paid at the time the service is performed. We will perform courtesy billing for you, provided you have given us all pertinent billing information.

Your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Financial responsibility rests with the patient for deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered services. In addition to personal checks, we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We offer the option to pay bills online. Pay online using our secure server here. You may receive three separate bills, the facility fee, pathology and your physician’s professional fee. Your insurance will be billed for all three of these services.

Don’t hesitate to call us with any insurance or billing questions: (240) 737-2960 or toll free (866) 331-4232. Our staff is eager to address any questions or concerns you may have.

The Cost of Your Procedure

Because you are responsible for costs for covered healthcare services until you reach your deductible, you should comparison shop if you elect to have a nonemergency procedure.

You can use tools like Healthcare Bluebook and the Medicare Procedure Price Lookup (for Medicare patients).  Many health insurance websites also provide information on where to find in-network services.
